The Huron Tract Group has been created to focus on the
economic well-being of its shareholders and the community it operates in.
Since the inception of the company, it has concentrated the skills of it's
people on creating opportunities for new ventures and putting the skills
of local people to maximum advantage. Located in Goderich, Ontario,
Canada - on the shores of Lake Huron, we are connected to world-wide
interests and markets.
Community
Economic Development
In four years we have located ten industrial enterprises
to the Goderich community.
These ten enterprises now employ more than eighty people.
This employment level is projected to increase to more than two hundred in
the next two years.
The original focus on purchasing industrial buildings,
some of which had been empty for 20 years, and rehabilitating those into
smaller units, for both existing and new enterprises, has been successful.
Creating a local research and development company to
discover and design products for local production and manufacture, has
given opportunity for highly skilled people to demonstrate their talents.
This risk strategy has yielded results and rewards in confidence and
opportunity. Our research company now holds patents in various intellectual
properties that are both energy efficient and sustainable.
